Today was an awesome day in church,the Holy Spirit was there in full force ,and it seemed more than evident to me that the people in the congregation were hungry for what he was bringing,, see all I really have to say that the God that we serve is so good. I had the opportunity today to see God work in the life's of several people today,and I must admit it was sweet.
It is so good to see God move in the life's and the hearts of his children, but I believe that we sometimes reject that move of his hand ,and we don't really realize that we are doing it.
Honestly, it’s hard to believe how much God loves us.In fact, God knows you don’t believe it. That’s why God tells you over and over again, “My love for you endures forever. My love for you endures forever. My love for you endures forever. My love for you endures forever.”
In the New Testament we hear this same message in different words, in some of the most beautiful words God ever gave to us. Ephesians 2:4-10 says:
Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
There will be times, of course, when we would feel that no matter how hard we try, it is just difficult to love others the way Jesus loves us. During such times, we must not condemn ourselves for falling short. Instead, we should use it to seek God and receive his forgiveness. Remember, he who is forgiven much, loves much. And 1 Peter 4:8 assures us that love covers a multitude of sins.
God says in everything give thanks for this is His will for you in Christ Jesus. Right now you may be saying I can’t be thankful for the terrible tragedy or wrong that happened to me. You may even be in a current situation that is very painful. But your choice in every situation is to either be angry with God or thankful. Maybe you think that you love God but you also admit that you are angry at people who have hurt you. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? (1stJohn 4:20) If you will decide to be thankful to God for the situation, recognizing that it is God’s will for you, then the hate and anger will be replaced by love, even for the people who have hurt you. Love always brings revelation, allowing you to see things and people in God’s light
My friends we serve an awesome God, and his love has no limit,and knows no boundary’s. Today those that were in attendance at New Life got to see God's love in action,and I was truly blessed as I witnessed it. My prayer daily is that the fire that the Lord has started at New Life Assembly only gets bigger and continues to spread like the wild fire that is has become,NEVER limit the love of God my friends,but always,always,always embrace it,with all that you are. God has so much in store for those that are willing to embrace him and accept him.
Be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 5:18– 20)
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

God's Breath,do you want it?
Sunday march 18th was a very good day to be in a church service,and if you weren't at New Life church ,well my friends I have to tell you this much,YOU MISSED IT ! I'm not bragging or anything ,but Pastor Troy once again did a wonderful job presenting the word of God to the congregation,i mean he was “spot on” so to say. I just want to touch on a few key phrases that stuck with me.
The Pastor spoke on the subject that we need to live out God's propose that he has for our life’s,and that one of greatest treasures is “life” itself,the life that God almighty breathed into each and everyone of us, also that every breath that we take is a true gift from God.
One of the best-known verses in the Bible is Genesis 2:7 “And the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living soul.” This verse sets a pattern for the rest of the Bible, where breath is often equated with life itself. In fact, references to breath or breathing are frequent in the Bible, with many illustrations of God as the giver of breath and life to man .
Think about it,God breathed life into man for a propose,he had a plan for man starting with the very first breath that he breathed into him,but do we truly understand ,or even believe just how precious that breath is? I don't think we do.
In the Bible in the book of Acts we learn a little about God's breath,on the day of Pentecost ,God breathed into his disciples that had gathered in that upper room. WHOOSH, BAM! He shook the house. The people encountered God in a way that they had never encountered him before. It was a mighty wind that shook the house. The encounter was so powerful and so dynamic that it could only be explained like a fire that burned around them. It was such a dramatic encounter that it transformed a bunch of simple Galilean fisherman who were cowering in a rented room into a band of courageous, multilingual evangelists who proclaimed that God had finally fulfilled his promise .Pentecost,The day “God Breathed.”
I believe God wants to breath a new life int each and everyone of us,His breath is a changing breath,it can transform you from something that you were to what God wants you to be. We as children of God need to learn to breath in God”s breath that he has for each of us, my friends that breath will change you,transform you.
Try it. Breathe really shallow a few times. Even in that short amount of time you start to get light headed because your brain is being deprived of the oxygen it must have to function.
The question for us today is this. How well does God’s body breathe? God draws us in, but do we resist? Do we say, “No, I don’t need to be gathered into God’s presence. I’m fine out here on my own.” Or, do we drift in here, holding onto our garbage. Covering it up so that no one can see it. Unwilling to come raw and naked into God’s presence and dump it all right here.
You see God's breath is a cleansing breath,if we allow it ,if we breath it in and totally immerse ourselves in it we will never be the same, believe me ,i have tried it my friends, and it changes you.
I want to share something with you my friends,Sunday in church Pastor Troy shared some very powerful testimony ,and I must say that it had a very profound impact on me, God used Pastor and his words in a very powerful way,as he spoke ,i breathed in his words ,that were as I feel ,truly inspired by the Holy Spirit,and those words became more than real,they were transforming words to my heart,and I thank Pastor Troy for sharing them.
In closing my friends I ask you this,Can you imagine what would happen if all God”s people, in all the sanctuaries, came authentically before God and let the Spirit of God transform them, ignite them with the power of God’s grace and forgiveness, and then they were exhaled into the atmosphere of life?
That my friends, would be a mighty, rushing wind that would transform humanity to the ends of the earth. May we join with God today as “God Breathes.”

More than conquerors.
While eating my lunch today ,i was reading my bible and this was the scripture that I read,
Romans 7:19-25,19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. 21 So I find this law at work Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
As I sat in front of my computer and read this I scripture ,I could see my reflection in my computer monitor and so many thoughts were running through my mind. I thought “how does this scripture relate to me? And why am I having such a hard time getting past verse 25? My eyes kept going back to verse 21b,”although I want to do good,evil is right there with me” that verse alone became so profound to me all of a sudden,it just seemed as though I was living this verse. It just seemed to hit home for some reason ,I wasn't sure why either. .
Paul says this ,he blames sin, not himself. What he said in verse 14, that he was a slave to sin, is only the way it appeared to be. The reality, he says, is that all my sins are blamed on this hostile power within me, and all the good is produced by Christ. It is not me, but my old sinful nature that is still enslaved to sin. He goes on to summarizes it in Rom. 7:21: So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law or principle at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. So there is a struggle. His mind wars against his body, which has been hijacked by sin. Although he wants to do good, the evil within him sometimes causes him to do things that he hates. So he groans,as he says in Rom. 8:23, waiting for the redemption of his body, the resurrection and the ultimate victory over his sinful nature.
Have you ever felt that way? No matter what you do ,you feel that sin is getting the best of you. You turn to the Lord for forgiveness ,I mean you are sincere about it ,and yet you feel like your just spinning your wheels .you feel as though you are facing a head wind that is constantly threatening to push you over. well my friends let me reassure you that you are not alone. the pressures in this world can become so very overwhelming that you are more than confident that your going to be crushed,broken to bits,well let me reassure each and everyone of you,that is a lie from the pits of hell. The bible says this, Romans 8:37-39,37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Our hope in Christ is truly glorious and wonderful. However, hope is not always enough. We are weak. Sometimes we lose direction to the degree that we don't know what to pray. Our Lord Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven." We get so bound up with our own petty problems that we become nearsighted. At that moment, we are totally useless. Then God gives us his Spirit to help us. the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." The Holy Spirit reminds us that God is the Sovereign Ruler of all creation,reminds us that Jesus has already won the victory over sin and death and the devil. The Holy Spirit helps us to see what God is doing,and continually renews our souls so that we can pray.
God is good. God loves us. In the love of God, we are more than conquerors.

"Work in Progress"
We heard two very strong and powerful testimonies today in church, and I believe that the testimonies given today touched many hearts in several different ways. I want to reflect on a phrase that I heard from one of the individuals that gave their testimony today, He said that he is a “work in progress” and I think that statement really hit home for several people in the congregation today.
What is a “work in progress” for Christ?, well how about this , When the Lord opened our eyes to His saving grace, and He lifted the veil of our sinful hearts, when He mercifully took pity upon you and me as sinners in need of grace, He began a good work in us. He began the work of preparing us for glory, and to spend eternity in His presence. Think of it like getting ready to go to a banquet. You need to get ready, you need to be prepared. Well, as saints of God on earth, God is completing the work of getting us ready for glory, to join with Him in a glorious union and fellowship for all eternity in heaven. "For I know the plans I have for you, declare the LORD, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
I believe all children of God are works in progress, and I feel we need to fully rely on God in order to develop into what God intends us to be. As believers in Christ we need to be careful not to put limits on God’s power and promise’s for our life’s. I am more than convinced in my spirit that many Christians are limiting God’s work in their lives by their doubts. We all trust God in most areas of our lives, especially for our salvation, but most of us have one area we block off where we don’t really and truly believe God will undertake for us.
Let me give you a few examples, many Christians that I know have faithfully prayed for others and their needs, yet when it to healing in their own bodies ,lives, their marriages, or even an illness they doubt God’s willingness to do the same for them, and I believe that they limit God by their unbelief.
Today at church Rick.L., a brother in Christ gave his testimony and stated that he was a master “wall builder”, and that no one could build a better wall than he could, and he went on in his testimony to also explain that the only one that was able to break down these great walls was Jesus! Have you ever prayed to God to break down walls in someone else’s life? Yet when it comes to the salvation of your own family, you lack faith? So you say to yourself,” God must not want to do this, guess he doesn’t hear me in this matter” well if that’s true then your not seeing him as God! The bible says, Ephesians 3:20, now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us
I’ve heard the Lord say to me at times “Tim you’ve tied my hand and shackled my feet, how can I answer you when deep down you really don’t believe I will? ,your doubt is hindering me from being God to you, you have to understand this and know this about my nature, I am more willing to give than you are to receive”
So I truly believe that a “work in progress” in god’s eyes is one that is willing to be molded by the hand of the almighty. We must be willing to let go and let God so to say. We ought to be saying “God can ,He did ,and He will. It is so very easy to follow our plan in doing something, to do it our way, and we heard examples of that in the testimonies given today in church. We must be willing to lay our plans aside, no matter how good we think they are and submit to the plans that the Lord has for each and everyone of us.
Jeremiah 1:5, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Those are some encouraging words from the Lord. So as we venture down the road of life may we all be open to the lord’s will in our lives, and my we all be “Works in progress” that the lord is in control of blessings.

With God there's Hope!
Today at work my friend Dave and I had several discussions about our Lord and savior,and I will tell you they were very enlightening discussions. We ended up talking about a former coworker of ours that has a form of cancer and it is terminal. Dave asked me if I had ever discussed salvation with this individual,and I told him I had but it seemed as though he took no interest in what I had to say to him,and that kind of made me sad. Dave had told me the same thing, that he also had discussed salvation with this individual,and it had the same impact on him,my question is ,”why”I am so grateful that I serve a God that is “Approachable” and is so willing to listen to us. God hears our cries for help and responds quickly,even though it may seem like a long time to us. He works out His best for us according to His plan in our life's. And His work is accomplished even when we do not see anything happening,isn't that just amazing?
Remember that desktop novelty that has the three monkeys in a row labeled "See no evil", "hear no evil", and "speak no evil". Sometimes we think of God this way when we are in the midst of problems. We think that God has turned His back on us. Sometimes this causes us to try and fix the problem ourselves. "God helps those who help themselves!" is a familiar saying but it is not in Scripture. Rather, this is what the bible says in Psalm 116:4-6 4 Then I called on the name of the Lord,“O Lord, I pray, deliver my soul!”5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous,our God is merciful.6The Lord preserves the simple,when I was brought low, he saved me. God helps those who. CANNOT help themselves.
when you are going through a trial that seems like it will never end,consider this,Does God know about it? He Certainly,Does God care that you are hurting?yup right down to the deepest part of His heart. Well Is God going to do anything about it? He's already at work in His holy plan to bring you through this situation, one way or another. So you ask,Why me? Well Maybe the question should be"why not me?". But God knows your plight and he will not allow more in your life than you can handle.
Each and everyone of go through tough times in life, with absolutely no explanation in our minds as to why,we can't begin to even grasp the reason as to why. I know so many people that are totally lost and without hope,and even though I have shared my faith with them ,and even explained how God has brought me through ,up and out of the pit of dis pare,they still can't seem to grasp that there is hope,there is an answer,there is a solution to there each and every worry,yup you guessed it ,JESUS!!
This world is full of problems of which people are desperate to find solutions. What few people realize is that the answer is right under our noses! The God who created the universe has a Name by which anything is possible! This is how Paul describes Christ's position in Colossians 1:16-20
16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Jesus Christ is the head, He will supply our physical needs. Seeking first His kingdom, however, does not merely mean "asking God for a cookie." It means that following His commandments and making them along with God the number one priority in our life's ,every day.
My friends ,let me clue you in on something,being a christian doesn’t mean that you turn in to this weak and washed up person who can no longer stand up for him or herself,and needs to hide behind God,what it does mean is that now you have someone that will walk side by side with you,and help hold you up,GOD ONLY MAKES YOU STRONGER MY FRIENDS. when to accept to Lord as you savior you now have an eternal source of help,when you mess up, fall down or just do plain dumb stuff, you have someone to turn to that will hear you and forgive you, it's this simple .God will not disappoint someone who really wants Him! If you are ready to make that choice, simply pray sincerely to God something like the following, in your own words: ,
"Jesus, I now realize that You are above all things. I realize that You are the answer to my, and the world's, problems. I believe that You are God's unique, begotten Son, that You lived a perfect life on earth, were crucified for my sin, and bruised for my healing. I accept that this was done for me. Now, be my Lord and show me how I can live in victory in You! In Jesus' name, Amen!"
My friends Put you faith and trust at all times in the living LORD Jesus Christ who cares for you and gave Himself up for you. His death on the cross for your sins was not just to bring you forgiveness but also to make you a child of God. In Christ you belong to the LORD God. And just as a parent is concerned about all that his child experiences, you can rest assured that God is all the more concerned about you! Blessings
Remember that desktop novelty that has the three monkeys in a row labeled "See no evil", "hear no evil", and "speak no evil". Sometimes we think of God this way when we are in the midst of problems. We think that God has turned His back on us. Sometimes this causes us to try and fix the problem ourselves. "God helps those who help themselves!" is a familiar saying but it is not in Scripture. Rather, this is what the bible says in Psalm 116:4-6 4 Then I called on the name of the Lord,“O Lord, I pray, deliver my soul!”5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous,our God is merciful.6The Lord preserves the simple,when I was brought low, he saved me. God helps those who. CANNOT help themselves.
when you are going through a trial that seems like it will never end,consider this,Does God know about it? He Certainly,Does God care that you are hurting?yup right down to the deepest part of His heart. Well Is God going to do anything about it? He's already at work in His holy plan to bring you through this situation, one way or another. So you ask,Why me? Well Maybe the question should be"why not me?". But God knows your plight and he will not allow more in your life than you can handle.
Each and everyone of go through tough times in life, with absolutely no explanation in our minds as to why,we can't begin to even grasp the reason as to why. I know so many people that are totally lost and without hope,and even though I have shared my faith with them ,and even explained how God has brought me through ,up and out of the pit of dis pare,they still can't seem to grasp that there is hope,there is an answer,there is a solution to there each and every worry,yup you guessed it ,JESUS!!
This world is full of problems of which people are desperate to find solutions. What few people realize is that the answer is right under our noses! The God who created the universe has a Name by which anything is possible! This is how Paul describes Christ's position in Colossians 1:16-20
16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Jesus Christ is the head, He will supply our physical needs. Seeking first His kingdom, however, does not merely mean "asking God for a cookie." Passionately Pursue Him!
Today march 4th was an amazing day in church, I want to say that the Holy spirit was there in full force and the worship was great, the pastor delivered a sensational message, my beautiful wife by my side, what more could one ask for? Glad you asked. If you weren’t there let me start by just saying “YOU MISSED IT” , I just hope that the reason you weren’t in service today was a valid one ,oh not for me but for God. see no one has to answer to me or the pastor, they will have to answer someday to the almighty one, God himself, and I’m sure on that day all the excuses that we have and are preparing to use will be the last thing on our mind. But if you were there I hope you received what the Holy Spirit had for you today.
The Pastor spoke on so many great topics this morning, he spoke about how God wants us to “passionately pursue” Him, but how do we do that? I know that I want to give God everything I possibly can, and I know that I fall short of his expectations of me on a daily basis, I know that I make dumb mistakes ,and I ask for forgiveness from him, but if I say I want to passionately pursue him, why do I keep missing the mark? Well because I’m human, just like you, I am prone to make mistakes, and I seem to make them on a regular basis, but there is good news my friends, God understands, he knows how we are made, and how we work. You see he designed us, so he understands just what you and I are going to do, and for me that’s good news.
Our relationship with God is to be the priority that everything else must fall under.
Everything! Colossians 3:23-24 says Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. We need to put the Lord first in our life’s on a daily basis. Now I’m sure some of you are saying “how do you know I’m not putting God first “well I don’t and it really doesn’t make any difference if I knew or not, what is important is that God knows! We need to let God know how important he is to us, all the time. Period
My friends, God has so much for each and every one of you, and He wants to bless you beyond your wildest imagination .Don’t ever think that you are not worthy of God’s love, he designed us to love Him, that’s what he wants. He made us to worship him, to love on Him. Until we experience God’s love and grow to trust Him, we will not break free from the power of self. We must understand that Jesus’ death and resurrection were an act of love for us. The greatest love we will ever know! Romans 8:28 says this, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
My friends its very easy to get caught up and ensnared it the tangled web of lies that the devil whispers to you daily,” you’re a failure, your stupid, you can’t do anything right, you don’t belong” these are all lies from the devil, and you need to stop listening to them. I always try to be as open and honest as possible when I share in this blog, that way people can come to know me and what I am all about. You see it’s easy to listen to those lies; it’s easy to believe them too. My wife and I travel an hour to church on Sunday, and we do it because God has told us that is where we belong, we aren’t from the area where our church is located, so re really don’t hang out with many of the people in our church, but we still consider it “our “church, and if we were to listen to the lies of the devil like,”
you don’t belong, you don’t live around here,ect ect. That would in be like committing spiritual suicide. God has led us to New Life Assembly for a reason, and I must say we have been so incredibly blessed that words can’t begin to explain it.
I believe that God wants his people to “passionately purse “him, and if that means that we drive an hour to do ,and we get our socks blessed off, then maybe just maybe we are doing something right. Proverbs 3:5-6 says this, 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. I believe all of us are called to passionately pursue God and whatever it is God has in store for us. When you are passionate about something your whole heart is in it and I think that is very important. I believe we are called to step out boldly and to pursue God’s way and God’s word with passion. Choose to take time in your lives and participate in the opportunities God gives you .Take advantage of the tools He gives you, and use them to passionately pursue Him. Make space in your life to spend time with God – reading, praying and listening. Make room in your lives to remember how God has moved in your life in your todays and yesterdays. Prepare yourselves for what God might call you to do and where God might call you and us to go. Great days with God await all of us.
Isaiah 51:1-3, says this, 1 "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn; 2 look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was but one and I blessed him and made him many. 3 The LORD will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.
I close tonight with this, I am so incredibly blessed with all that the Lord has given me, and I will daily seek to passionately purse God in all that I do. I pray that each and everyone of you seek Gods face daily, never give up and always trust in Him.
John 8:32 says Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Blessings!
