Love the Lord your God

For those that have been following my Blog postings you may have noticed that I have been talking a lot about God's love for us. Well in no way do i intend to make one think that they are sub standard so to speak in the eyes of our Lord. I am simply attempting to say that we can only accept God's love for us. There is nothing, nothing, nothing you can do to win or deserve or prove yourself worthy of God’s love and grace toward you. There is nothing you can do to make God love you any more than He already loves you. Jesus died for us because he loves us, and I think we tend to as humans try to some how pay him back for that. We kind of try to,,,, so to say "even the score". We can never do enough to thank God for sending Jesus to the cross for us, never do enough to compensate Jesus for His sacrifice on our behalf. I think we try to prove ourselves worthy to receive God' grace, we somehow try to win it. There is nothing you can do to make God love you any more than He already loves you. We are God’s workmanship created for good works, not saved by good works. Ephesians 2:10 says this, For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Now if you don’t think that God thinks your special, then I don't know what to tell you. God calls us his "handiwork”, so that kind of make me feel special. This is another one of my favorite scriptures, 2 Timothy 1:8-9, so do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. Our works can't add up to award us salvation, Christ saved us and enables us do good works. God loves us more than we will ever be able understand this side of eternity. Our job I believe is just to open our hearts and to accept the love that our Lord and Savoir has for us. WE should do our best to open our mind and heart to the power of His love and do our absolute best to pass it on to those who don't know it or have never experienced it. We must learn to be bold for God. We need to draw wisdom from His Holy Spirit on how to witness to the lost people in this dying world. If we ask I believe God will show us how for example, today I witnessed my close friend once again be used mightily by God. He did it in such a subtle way, God gave him something and he was obedient and used it. You are a wonderful and faithful servant Dave, and I am truly blessed by your faithfulness’We live in a cruel and thankless world that takes from us our joy on a daily basis. Most Christians are so caught up in the cares of life and deceitfulness of riches that they too are short on peace and joy. Such conditions cannot please our Heavenly Father. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice." The Word of God states, "The joy of the Lord is our strength." We cannot deny there is joy in salvation, plus joy within the Fruit of the Spirit. There are so many answers in the word of God, but we must truly devote our minds to finding those answers, there is so much joy to be found in the word of God. Our Father wants our joy to be full. Luke 10:27- He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Blessings my Friends.!

God is Love

Today after having a discussion with a close friend of mine at work, my mind really started to whirl. He presented a few really good questions that made my mind kind of go into high gear so to say. We talked about God's love for us and how we really don't deserve it, but its free and God wants us to receive it so we take it. God does not love us because we are lovable or because we deserve it, and if anything its quite the opposite. If you think about it ever since the fall of mankind we have done nothing to deserve His love. Man has been deceitful and ungrateful towards God and our innermost beings are so corrupted by sin that even we don’t realize the extent to which sin has corrupted us. Jeremiah 17:9 says the heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately sick who can understand it? That scripture speaks volumes, it says so much about the heart of man. This is what Romans 3:10-12,10 As it is written:” There is no one righteous, not even one;11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless, there is no one who does good, not even one.” How is it possible for a Holy and righteous God to love such impure and unworthy creatures as us? To understand this I think we must first understand something about the nature and character of God.1 John 4:8 say; anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love. and if we read on we see in verse 16- 'So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us, God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” GOD IS LOVE". This is a profound statement. You see God doesn’t just love; He is love. His very nature is love, think about it even in his wrath and anger God demonstrates love. Romans 5:8is another really good scripture explaining God's love for us, but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. He died for you and me and we never deserved it, NEVER but he did it anyways,,,,what a love. I have to admit I really have to chew on this ,I mean it just flat out baffles me at times. I look at my life and all the things I have done, the good the bad, and when i put it all on the "big scale of life" and I try to make it ballance,,well IT DOESN"T!!The bad always seems to be the heavier side of the scale and that’s not the way I want it to be. Then to make matters worse I try to figure out why God loves me, just doesn't add up right. I have come to realize this God's love is a very personal love, and he knows and loves each and everyone of us on a very personal level. God’s love knows no boundaries; it’s a mighty love with no beginning and no end. Why does God love us? It is because of who He is: "God is love."My prayer is that all may come to know the God that i serve ,and that all my experience His great love that is so freely given.Blessings my Friends

God's Love is a wonderful thing!

You ever wonder if its possible to love someone or something to much? Let me explain what i mean, today i got to spend the day not only with the love of my life(my wife) , but also with my youngest grandson Tyler and it just seemed to be one of those normal days. Nothing spectacular occurred he didn't recite the alphabet backwards or sing the national anthem in Chinese or anything like that, it all started out as normal. My beautiful wife and I have been married 28 wondrous years today, and i must admit that there might have been a couple rocky years, but as for the majority of them they have been great, thank you Babe! Now back to what I was originally talking about. It seemed to be just another ordinary Saturday with my grandson, we goofed around, i chased him he chased me I got tired he didn't, all the normal things a Grandpa and a grandson do, and he is only 16 months old. Well it wasn't until he had been picked up by my daughter that my mind really went into high gear. God just started to work in my heart and mind when I posed the question to Him,” can you love someone to much" I get such a blessing from spending time with my grand kids, I just can't seem to get enough of them. I also love spending time with my daughters too, though that time seems very little,” hours far and few between" as the saying goes. I understand they have families of their own, but Dads can be very jealous creatures. So after asking God that question he reminded me of a couple very special scriptures, Jeremiah 29:11-11 for I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. After reading that i still had questions, but if anyone knows the Lord he will give you answers, Psalm 139:13 -14, 17, 18
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.” .We just can't out-love God can we; I mean his love is UN beatable so to say. I have been so so so blessed over the years, and I really have no reason to complain about anything at all. I think God has been more than gracious and fair to me. Now once again back to what i was originally talking about, I love my kids and all my grandchildren, and each and every moment i get to spend with them i consider "priceless" ,hours and minutes that if i could somehow be able to relive them time and time again I would. Today God showed me just a glimpse of how his love is for us, and I say a "glimpse” As I enjoyed my grandson today and loved on him i just couldn't help but wonder if the feeling that I experienced today are anything like the ones our Lord feels? as I watched him and just "bathed" so to say in all the things he did, I just couldn't help but to ask God if it was possible to love someone or something too much? and I came to a conclusion about God's love for us. God loves you loves you infinitely and unconditionally. His love and grace are imparted to you in an ongoing flow, second by second, minute by minute hour by hour and day by day. Most of us would love to have someone in our lives who loves us like this. Someone who is always patient with us, who isn't envious of us and thinks of us first. One who believes in us, hopes for the very best for us and endures hard times with us. What a wonderful thing to be loved like that. The truth is that God loves us just like that. God is the one who brings us through periods of tough times and hardship. God has a master plan for all of creation, and we are a part of it. So today because of my grandson i became just a little more understanding of God's love. Its a love that we have to accept and not try to understand .Blessings

Let Go and Let God!!

While i was reading my bible this morning and praying for God's direction in a few matters that i am facing ,he gently reminded me of a pastor that i had read about and had watched several videos of.A few years back my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer, and it was right about this time of the year.So around this time each year my mind takes to wandering and at times it takes me right back to the very moment that the doctor told my wife that she had cancer. My wife(the strong one) will tell you that i don't handle these kind of things very well.I tend to withdraw and really don't like to talk about it.Its not that i am ignoring it or avoiding it, its just that i hate that i can't figure it out!I just don't like not knowing why something isn't right or not working right.Everything in me tells me that i should be able to figure it out, there's just got to be a solution. That is a part of me that i have to continually give over to God.I have to on a daily basis, not only ask God but i almost beg Him to change me,make me to rely more upon him in these types of situations.Only God is “perfect,” and thus only God can “perfectly handle” your life for you.You have to learn to completely “let go and let God”,,,I had to learn this first before i was going to experience any peace, happiness, joy, or fulfillment in my life.I had to trust the Lord with every single area of my life with no exceptions! I so love this scripture,,Jeremiah 17:5-8 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but her leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.” I don't know what is like to be in my wife's shoes, nor do i want to know, all i do know is i will stand by her through it all.I took a vow almost 30 years ago and i meant every word i said.I can still remember the very day and the exact moment that i looked int the eyes of my beautiful bride and made that vow,Isn't God so great that he preserves our memories just so we can relive the joy of those moments!I am grateful that we serve a God that will hear us ,answer us hold us ,but most of all LOVE (me) US!!!! Be blessed as you watch the video.

God doesn't need us! (does He?)

Did you ever think about this statement,"Does God need me?",well I had a short conversation with my brother at work today on this very statement.Psalm 50:7 “Hear, O My people, and I will speak;
O Israel, I will testify against you;
I am God, your God.
8 “I do not reprove you for your sacrifices,
And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.
9 “I shall take no young bull out of your house
Nor male goats out of your folds.
10 “For every beast of the forest is Mine,
The cattle on a thousand hills.
11 “I know every bird of the mountains,
And everything that moves in the field is Mine.
12 “If I were hungry I would not tell you,
For the world is Mine, and all it contains.
13 “Shall I eat the flesh of bulls
Or drink the blood of male goats?
14 “Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving
And pay your vows to the Most High;
15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble;
I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
Some of us think that we are doing God a favor by going to church on Sundays or reading the Bible. We even think we are doing God a favor by acknowledging Him as the Lord of our lives. No, my friends, we aren't doing Him any favor, WE ARE DOING OURSELVES A FAVOR! God does not need us, we need Him! Let us reason together and truly understand this.Think of it God created the vast universes that we see in our telescopes, he made the earth and the sea,not to mention all the creatures in it.He made light and darkness the air we breathe HE MADE US!! As i read that scripture i came to realize God wouldn't even ask me for a sandwich if he was hungry.God just doesn't need me, but get this, He stretched out His arms and died for me.He gave His only begotten Son for me,sacrificed for me and you.
Psalm 8:4 4 What is man that You take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him? .It amazes me that the Lord God even thinks of me . Why would He even bother with me? Why would He leave His glory to die on a Roman cross for me while I was yet a rotten and wicked sinner who turned my back on Him? Why?,,,,Why?? I believe its because of LOVE that he did it,not because he needs us,but because of his love. That's kind of hard to understand isn't it? I know it puzzles me at times.I believe God made us for His pleasure, not because He needed us.
We should begging God to be saved, and We often act like we do God a favor by turning to Him. He doesn't need us, we need Him, and when man gets a hold of that concept,I believe he will then truly see.
Rest well my Friends Blessings

It must be of God

I often wonder how many of us work in a place where God is a subject that isn't talked about. How many of us,and i mean Christians work at or in an environment that Christ's name just isn't spoken of.Well at church this past Sunday our Pastor touched on that subject during the opening of the service.I began to think after he mentioned how wonderful it is to be able to come to church and freely speak the name of Christ without any fear,to pray and praise together without worry of harm, well let me get back to what i started to talk bout.Today all those thoughts ran through my head while i was at work,, discussing the word of God with a brother in Christ. You see i work in a place were God ,,well lets just say isn't welcomed, but i just cant seem to accept that as excuse not to spread the word of God.The word of God says this in 1 John 2:15-17- 15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. That is some powerful scripture." WHOEVER DOES THE WILL OF GOD LIVES FOREVER" WOW!!!no i mean WOW WOW WOW!! .I try to do what God's will has for my life everyday, and yes at times it can be very uncomfortable and sometimes just plain hard to do.But just the thought of living forever in the presence of our Mighty and awesome Lord,, well that's inspiring for me and I hope its inspiring for you also.May the word of God come to life for each and everyone of you my Friends, just as it does for me as i read and talk about it.
Romans 8:28-28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.Be bold always my Friends. Blessings

What a glorious day in church,The worship team did a fantastic job ushering in the Holy Spirit and a great message delivered by the Pastor, what else could a person ask for,,,,,Hmmmmmm,,,what else i ask? Revival was the topic today, the first message in a series of messages that the Pastor has prepared.and as i sat and intently listened to the sermon the Holy Spirit started a work in my heart. This work that began today was not a new one.it was one that had began years ago. This work started sometime around 1982,yes you read it right. This was and is a work that the Holy spirit started in my heart the day i accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. When i accepted Him that August day on Plattsburg Air Force Base,he started a revival in my heart, and it was a very special and personal one.But over the years that revival began to lesson so to say.It seemed to go from what was a burning desire to to everything that i could possibly do for Jesus anytime to,,,,well lets just say the fire started to dwindle to a flicker and it seemed as though i didn't even notice.Do you see where I'm going with this my Friends? You see I believe REVIVAL starts in the heart, and like any type of fire if the fuel source gets low,so does the intensity of the FLAME!I believe we need to constantly fan the fire,we need to continually draw from the source, and that source is Jesus Christ. The word revive means to live again,to receive again a life that is almost gone and to rekindle that flame that is all but extinguished.I shall close with this scripture,,
Isaiah 64
1 Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down,
that the mountains might quake at your presence—
2 as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil
to make your name known to your adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at your presence!
3 When you did awesome things that we did not look for,
you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence.
4 From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear,no eye has seen a God besides you,who acts for those who wait for him.Blessing my Friends.

So don't remain silent! Don't let the rocks cry out

This mite sound strange to the average Christian but,you ever wonder about that scripture in Luke were Jesus was talking, that was verse 40 of the 19th chapter of Luke.Well i do,and I often question myself, and i use that verse when i do. I think to myself ,was i supposed to say something or was i supposed to keep my sometimes BIG mouth shut? I would rather say to much,(if that's at all possible) about my Savior than too little.I would rather be accused of having a BIG mouth for my savior than being accused of being tight lipped. I know it's not always easy to talk about Jesus, but we are called to spread the "Good News"I work in a prison were most of the time the "Good News " isn't heard,as a matter of fact its rarely heard , even by other Christians.I consider myself one of God's exceptions i guess.I have been blessed with a job in an office with a dear Christian brother to share God's word with, and i do consider it a blessing. Its a dark and evil place, but i believe that shouldn't stop me from spreading God's word.May each and everyone of you have the courage to spread the "Good News" wherever you may work.

So don't remain silent! Don't let the rocks cry out (Luke 19:40)!
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation (Psalm95:1)!
Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forever. From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised (Psalm 113:2-3).
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD (Psalm 150:6)!
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music (Psalm 98:4)
Let your love of the Lord Jesus pour out; rejoice with a glorious (unspeakable) inexpressible joy (1 Peter 1:8).
Blessings my Friends

Does God have a sense of humor?

You know I haven't heard a sermon about God's sense of humor lately, but today at work a dear brother in Christ and i had a short but ever so meaningful talk about God's sense of humor. I believe unless we see that side of God, I'm not sure we'll totally appreciate him.As i think of all the creatures that God has created, the Penguin ,whale, hairless cats oh and lets not forget the "duck-billed platypus,,i mean seriously?? if some of his creations don't get you to chuckle a little bit, well maybe you need to get to know the God i serve a little better.Lets consider what we find in Scripture itself, keeping in mind that Scripture was inspired by God,,Job 39:13-18
13)“The ostrich flaps her wings grandly,
but they are no match for the feathers of the stork.
14)She lays her eggs on top of the earth,
letting them be warmed in the dust.
15)She doesn’t worry that a foot might crush them
or a wild animal might destroy them.
16)She is harsh toward her young,
as if they were not her own.
She doesn’t care if they die.
17)For God has deprived her of wisdom.
He has given her no understanding.
18)But whenever she jumps up to run,
she passes the swiftest horse with its rider. How about vs.17 I bet my wife hopes she never get described that way.Proverbs 11:22 says, "Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion,I bet that helps out the women on those days they feel kind of,, "less than beautiful"you think maybe Solomon just finished fighting with one of his many wives when he said this"Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife"Proverbs 21:9 and Proverbs 22:13 says "The sluggard says, 'There is a lion outside!,how do you think that would go over on a Monday morning with your boss? You see God's humor is never cruel, we as humans seem to try to twist it into something it's not.God's humor is totally pure and untainted just as he is.Proverbs 16:24 says, "Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." Aren't you glad?We serve such a Glorious and loving Lord. (PS.Thanks Dave for taking time to talk about the Lord with me) Blessings

God's word is good news

I love this scripture, and it speaks volumes to me. It says so much about how we as Christians should live our life's.When we read the part of scripture that states "The peace of God" sometimes i think as Christians we tend to struggle with that,I know that i do at times. We need to accept that "peace" that God so freely gives us,that peace that can calm any storm, no matter how big in our lives. The scripture also says that it will guard our hearts and mind, now to me that is reassuring. To know that there is a god that we can serve that has promised to guard our hearts and our minds, not to mention give us peace when the storms rage in our lives. We serve an awesome God, one that loves us unconditionally, and asks nothing in return but to love Him.May this scripture bless you as much as it has blessed me. .Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."Blessings

The names of God

Ever have one of those days when you talk to God ,and then you stop and listen and,,,,,,,,,,,well you just don't hear anything? Well today seemed to be one of those days for me.But as i called out to God in response to His silence, he spoke so ever softly to my heart, He said "Who am I to you???So as i took some time to sit in His presence,I felt the need to list the names I know Him by as reminder for my soul

God!

All Powerful - He can handle anything that I send His way

Emanuel - God is with us, He is with me second by second, day by day, month by month, year by year through all eternity, but am I with Him?

El Shadi - All Sufficient, He can be my everything, am I letting Him?

Truth - I can trust everything I read in His Word

The still waters - if I will allow Him He will lead me to Himself and I can rest beside Him

And - if He is The Beginning and The End, Alpha and Omega then He is the and in between, He is ever present, ever loving, ever knowing God that i put my complete and total trust in. May you be blessed my friends.

Does God need to change the reflection?

I want to say a few more things in reference to this past Sundays sermon that Pastor Troy delivered. He talked about how we should challenge ourselves, how we should "find" were God want us to be ,and to be enthusiastic about it.Well today my wife and I took in a movie,it was called "Joyful Noise"The choir sang a song that i have heard a thousand times before,it was by the late Michael Jackson and it was called "The Man In the Mirror" well i must admit i am not his biggest fan,but the words to this song just became so real to me ,and as i listened to it, i mean really listened , the words to that song became something more than just song lyrics, sometimes you have to look at the man in the mirror, and truly ask God to change him.I think i might look a little longer next time, and have God show me where I need to change.

Blessings

Sunday Jan 15th at New Life Assembly

Yesterday in church our Pastor touched on several key topics that we as Christians not only should do but we are called to do according to the word of God. One subject he touched on was that we need to “look in the mirror”

"Well, suppose you did not use the mirror for a week, could you be sure that your personal appearance would be such as you would like your friends to see". Oh, I wouldn’t be too sure about that,
I don’t think that there is one of us who would not get up in the morning and look in the mirror without doing something about our appearance. Nor should we hear the word of God without acting on it. The Bible shows us what we are without all our presence and make up. The Bible clearly shows us were and what we are when not properly girded up in the word,
John Wesley wrote in his journal of June 22nd 1739. "After a Preaching engagement—one dropped before me as dead, presently another, soon there were five others, all of whom were in agony of soul having seen themselves in the convicting mirror of God’s Word".
Friends, God’s Word's are the perfect reflector. It reveals the heart & highlights our faults and our failures, and shows us up, but thank God, it also cleans us up. Psalms 119:9 How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word.

In this i am confidant

A great day in church, the Holy Spirit was very much there, i must say i struggled with some things that were weighing on my heart, but as the service went on and the worship team did what they do best,(thanks for your obedience guys) the Holy spirit did what he does best, ministered to my heart.I am so grateful that the word of God is so unlike the word of man,and that is the word of God is always the same, even, never changing.Rest well my Friends.

Matthew 19:26-Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

It's nice to be encouraged

I was blessed today and encouraged at the same time, all by just a short post on a face book page.I was beginning to feel that this blog thing just wasn't doing what i hoped it would, but a short post from a dear brother in Christ changed that for me, Thanks Mark R. for taking time to view my Blog.It means a lot.,,,,,
Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:2

Ephesians 4:29 "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."

This video moved me!!

After a long day at work ,i heard this song on the way home,,,and it summed up my day,as a believer in Christ ,and working in as i would say "Satan's playground" it can be very exhausting,I have to continually lean on my savior for strength and wisdom, because as we are human we often want to act in very non -Christian ways. When i am treated wrong and disrespected by my superiors ,it is very easy to drop to their level, and react exactly the way our adversary would want us to.It's in those exact times when i have to take a second and remember what the scriptures tell us in Romans 5:3-5 "...but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." Blessings

Renewed by the Spirit

A renewing Spirit

The Lord wants to make His desires clear to you. If you will just take some time to get to know those desires. Does your life seem to be full of weakness, lacking any vision? Well God wants to restore you, and give you His vision, so that you may accomplish the works that he has prepared for you. If you’re living a moderate, compromised life in Jesus, there is only one thing to do, call on Jesus to renew your sensitivity to his Spirit. He WILL answer you He will give you a renewed spirit
Ephesians 4: 23and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

Trust and be forgiven

Its time to trust in the Lord's total victory of the cross and not our own measure of sorrow. It is time to quit looking back and instead begin to glory and rest in unmerited forgiveness.God delights in his children;he is not mad at you . Like David, our sinful past ought to humble us and make us contrite. David's sin was always before his eyes, but his soul rested in God's mercy and tender loving kindness.,,,,,,
Psalm 32:1-2 1 Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
2 Blessed is the one
whose sin the LORD does not count against them
and in whose spirit is no deceit.

Psalm 18:32-34 the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

While reading a book by John Wesley,,,

This quote just jumped out at me..... “Justifying faith implies, not only a divine evidence or conviction that ''God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself',' but a sure trust and confidence that Christ died for my sins, that He loved me and gave Himself for me.”

John Wesley quote

If it were left entirely to the hands of people, even the best of people, what assurance could there be that anyone could be saved? Did not Adam fall? Did not holy angels fall? Have not some of the best of men fallen into sin? And who has such a strength of holiness that he could certainly confide in it to make his own salvation sure? Any man must know little of himself, and of the human heart, who supposes that he has such a strength of virtue that he would never fall away if left to himself. But if this be so, then his only hope of salvation is in the fact that God intends to "keep his people by his own power through faith unto salvation."

1 Peter 3-5
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

2012,what kind of year will we make it?

2012, it's just begun, and what will we (you) make of it, will it be a "stellar" year or will it be one that " just went by"lets all challenge one an other to make it a year that we just can't believe, one that we have to say "God was totally in charge" of.Today mite have been just a "day", but tomorrow can be a "great day". We can accomplish that by drawing on God's strength. Colossians 1:11 offers such strength. In it Paul prays that believers would be strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy. This verse says that we should rely not upon our own strength but upon God’s inexhaustible supply. So if you are up against circumstances or people that are draining your strength and leaving you wasted, don’t rely on your own strength. Rely on God’s, and then you’ll have all the strength you need.So i encourage each and everyone, draw upon the strength of the Lord and lets glorify God in all we do.Remember "WE are EMPOWERED for HIM" Blessings

I Am Thankful fo God Everyday

"I am thankful to God for each day. For the bible tells us that his mercies are new every morning (Lam 3:22-23). Often in our busy lives we forget just how much we depend or should depend on God. Not just for the big things, like bringing a lost child back home, healing a sick loved one, providing for us in a financial crisis, but the little things. His gentle touch that awakes us each morning, the brilliant colors of His rainbow, the smile on a child's face. Most of all, I'm thankful to God for his Son Jesus, our Lord and Savior. For His love for me to send Jesus into my life. For His blessed assurance. And for allowing me to express my thanks. Have a blessed day in Jesus."

My wife brought to my attention that the time on my last post was way off,,, so i did a little investigating and found out that the time on my PC was a few hours off,,,, well all fixed now.Thank Babe love you ;-)

DON'T PUT GOD ASIDE

IT'S CRITICAL NOT TO BACK AWAY FROM GOD, NO MATTER WHAT
1. Although Israel had moved into their promised land, there were still seven (7) former nations of
the land that had not been removed and if they were allowed to remain, their presence would
eventually lead to mixed marriages, false worship and a drifting away from God would result.
2. Paul gave a warning to Church leaders in Acts 20:28-31 about being careful to watch over God's
flock for there was always danger from the outside.
3. There is no level in Christian maturity or experience or years of age where any Christian may
attain that which would prevent him/her from turning aside from the divine light he/she has
gained. At any stage in life a Christian can throw away all the gathered spiritual experiences
in his/her life, even in the last years of one's life.
4. Do you remember promises you made to God that you have not fulfilled yet? Has there been a
time that you put God aside? You walked away from Him? What about right now?
5. Just when in life do things become easier? In youth? Middle age? Old age? It is a fact that the
older one becomes, the harder the battle. There is danger everyday in the life of the believer
in putting God aside, drawing away from Him.

New Years Resolution

Many Christians make New years resolutions to win more people to Jesus. To be more faithful in evangelizing their friends and families. They may start off good and actually speak up, but as the business of the year starts, this goal becomes forgotten in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Instead of making a goal of evangelizing, how about making the goal of starting every morning with the simple prayer for God to make you sensitive to His divine appointments throughout the day? Instead of limiting your goal to just evangelism that “you make an effort about”, make your goal to be more sensitive to “Divine appointments that God is making an effort about”? On your way to work or while taking your morning shower, just ask the Lord to keep you aware of His appointments for the day. I think you will find this not only a lot more workable but will see much more fruit in the long run including leading somebody to Jesus.
